The 21-year-old Reggae Girlz forward Jody has been responding well to treatment and trained with the other players on Wednesday at the Victoria State Training Centre in Australia, who will co-host the Women's World Cup with New Zealand.

According to the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), all the players are "fully integrated and up to speed", including Brown, who suffered a thigh injury on Sunday during a practice game against Morocco, which the Reggae Girlz won 1-0.

Players and management were waiting with bated breath on Brown, one of their instrumental players, as the Reggae Girlz ready for their first fixture on Sunday against world No. 5, France.

The Reggae Girlz went through a competitive squad match on Wednesday, with the coaching staff focusing on potential hotspots for Sunday's fixture. The Lorne Donaldson-coached Reggae Girlz will have their final training session today before jetting off to Sydney on Saturday morning.

In a previously released article, team doctor Gillian Lawrence stated that Brown's injury was a wait-and-see process and a scan wasn't necessary.

"We are still not looking at getting that done. Right now, she has been responding very well. Her pain is low, and she will actually train today (Wednesday). We will see what she does in training, and after training, we will make another assessment on what her medical treatment will be," Lawrence stated.

In the aftermath of Brown's injury, Lawrence confirmed that the speedy winger was responding well to the treatment, which has hastened the recovery.

"She received an injury in the early portion of the match against Morocco. She was assessed on the pitch, and when we got back to our base, we started treatment, and we decided she would be treated aggressively in the interim, and she has been responding well to that," Lawrence had stated.

The Reggae Girlz are drawn in Group F alongside Brazil, France and Panama.
