My uncle's boss keeps calling me!

Dear Pastor,

I am 16. I have a boyfriend who is 18. I look older than 16. I look more like an 18-year-old girl. My mother works in the market. I live with her and my uncle who is a driver for one of these big men. I am afraid to call his name. My uncle came home one day and the man was in the car and when he saw me he asked my uncle about me and he told him I was his niece and I am a schoolgirl. My crazy uncle gave this man my number and he would not stop calling me, pastor, and inviting me out. I told him that I have my boyfriend and if he wants to have sex I am not interested because I have not even had sex with my boyfriend as yet. I don't want to tell my uncle that he is calling me because he may fire him and I don't want my uncle to lose his job. Do you think I should tell my uncle? He is to be blamed because he shouldn't have given this man my number. I told my boyfriend that he has been calling me and he said that I can change my number. Everybody has this number. I don't take money from my boyfriend. He is trying to get into HEART. I told him he has to wait for two more years before we have sex. I am waiting for your answer.

Dear M.E.,

I don't believe that your uncle meant anything bad when he gave your number to this man. He probably saw him as a good man who would be able to help you but not in a sexual way. Just ignore him when he calls. Perhaps you should follow the suggestion of your boyfriend and change your number. You could also block his number from reaching you. You are 16 years old. I don't want to encourage you to have a serious relationship with a guy. You should concentrate totally on your school work. You have many more years ahead of you. Men are not running away. They are not going to die all at once and prevent you from having a male partner when the time comes, so you can wait. You told this 18-year-old man that you are not going to have sex with him until you are 20 and he agreed but old time people say, "Mouth mek fi say anything". He might begin to pressure you very soon for sex, so be very careful. I suggest that you tell your uncle that this man has been calling you. He does not have to let his boss know that you have told him that he calls constantly. Tell your uncle not to give him any further information about you and don't ask him for any favours for you.
