My uncle asked me for sex!

Dear Pastor,

I am having a problem. I am living with my mother and father. I have an uncle who lives on the premises and one day I came home from school and my uncle was in the yard and he told me how nice I looked. And if I noticed that he doesn't have any woman coming to visit him. And I told him I didn't notice but now that he said it, it was true. I don't see any woman coming to see him. He said he wanted to say something privately to me but I shouldn't talk. I told him to go ahead.

He asked me if I had a boyfriend and I told him no. He asked me if I ever had sex and I told him no. He told me that he would give me money if I had sex with him. I didn't answer but when my mother came home I told her. My mother didn't ask him anything but when my father came my mother told my father. My father approached him and told him that he was giving him one week to leave the premises. The premises belong to my father's parents. Now the family is condemning me because my uncle said it is I who wanted money from him and offered myself to him and he ran me away. My parents don't believe that. My father and my uncle are in war every day because my uncle says he cannot get any place to live.

You are a very intelligent girl but you have an immoral uncle and when he approached you for sex you did the correct thing by telling your parents. Your father gave your uncle notice to leave and he is quite right in doing so. Perhaps you will never be comfortable having him around. Your parents are standing up for you. Too bad that there are those in the family who feel that you are lying on your uncle. Ignore what they say.
