I'm cheating with my best friend's man!

Dear Pastor,

I am 60 but I don't look my age. I have had a secret lover for the past 10 years. He is married and living in Jamaica. I live in the States. His wife and I are best friends. This man comes to America and stays with me. His wife knows that he sees me when he comes up but she does not know that we are lovers. I have turned down two different men who offered me marriage just because of him. I told him that I want a man of my own because I am getting old. My children know him but they are not living with me.

One of my sons has keys to my house and one day he came to the house and realised I was home. My bedroom door was wide open and he saw the man and I in bed. And the shocking thing was that he had not a piece of clothes on. My son said, "Sorry", closed the door and left. It took him one week to talk to me again and he expressed his disgust. I am so ashamed. When I spoke to my son he asked me how could I be doing that to my girlfriend. He promised that he would not say a word to my other children. I am begging you for some advice.

C.M.

Dear C.M.,

I could sense from your letter a feeling of remorse. At least, that is how it comes home to me. I have observed that you have told the man a number of times that you want to move on but he is holding on. Your body is in good shape for your age but don't give it to this man who is already taken, and I hope his wife does not find out that you and her husband had a sexual relationship.
