My wife is never happy

Dear Pastor,

I am from St Elizabeth. I try to make my wife happy by doing household chores. I help her with the baby and do everything a husband should to make his wife happy but she is still unhappy. We have been married for more than 10 years. She is planning to leave me, and go somewhere else where she can be happy.

Perhaps your woman is just miserable. Peace of mind cannot be bought. She probably needs to experience inner peace, which comes from having a good relationship with God. You know you have done your very best as a husband. You say you help around the house and with the child. You haven't mentioned whether you give her money. That part is very important. Regardless what a man does for a woman, he has to give her money, so make sure you take care of that and assure her of your love every day.

Now, having said the above, I must tell you the truth. Some women are never satisfied. However, you know you are doing your best and she is determined to leave, don't fight to keep her let her go. I can guarantee you that when she hits a wall out there, somewhere, she will be eager to return. By that time it might be too late.
