I want to help your caller

Dear Pastor,

I listen to your programme whenever I happen to be near the radio at the late 10 o'clock hour. Recently, I was impressed by one of your female callers.

She was a woman who had presented you with a gift of a wristwatch some time ago I think, which you said was appreciated.

I must admit that I was touched upon learning she had sustained an injury to her shoulder, apparently it was fractured in more than one place. I hope she has a laptop or access to one.

With that type of injury, there is much she will need to learn to successfully take care of that shoulder over the long run (no I am not a doctor).

The Harvard Medical School regularly publishes articles to promote a healthier life; it's called Health Beat. Information that would prove useful is available online there.

This correspondence is my small way of paying a special respect for someone I have never met, someone who had impressed me immensely with her few words of modesty.

If my initiative proves helpful, I thank you for facilitating the communication.

I do hope you will find it possible to somehow pass on my message pertaining to the Harvard Medical School articles.

I do not wish to judge your motives, but as a counsellor, I really have to wonder why you didn't send me the information from Harvard Medical School so that I could publish it and that everyone could read it and be informed that such help is available.

The woman who called me on my show is my friend for many years. She lives in North America and visited Jamaica and came to see me along with one of her daughters.

This woman is not looking for a partner. She was under medical care after she was injured and is now doing well.

I think I should let you know that I cannot give the names or addresses of anyone unless that person gives me permission to do so.

You say you were impressed by this woman just by listening to her talking to me on the Dear Pastor show.

Well, I am not surprised that you were impressed. She is an educated woman and a very intelligent woman. But I must tell you that I have to deny your request.
