I don’t trust my babyfather
Dear Pastor,
I have been living with a man for the past 20 years. He is the biggest fake in the world. He does not talk the truth. He dresses and goes out regularly.
He would give people on the outside the impression that he has money. But Pastor, he does not have any money. We have three children together, two boys and one girl.
I would like to get married. My daughter has asked me so many times about me getting married. I don't know what to tell her, but my sons have told me not to get married to their father.
I listen to your radio programme every night. You are my hero. I started out with this man when I was young. I would love to get married because I want to go to church.
When I hooked up with this man, I told myself that I did not want to get involved with different men. This man does not abuse me, but he is always lying. I don't know what to do.
But my children are growing up and I would like to move on.
My father has given me some money. I would love to buy a house. My children's father knows about the money, so he is always asking when I am going to buy the house.
I know that he probably believes that I would put his name on the title. I am asking you for your advice.
B.N.
Dear B.N.,
You have doubts about this man. You say he is a liar. Then you talk about wanting to buy a house with money that was given to you by your father.
A woman has to be careful with this type of man. So I suggest that you talk to a lawyer about your relationship and about purchasing the house in particular. I wish you well.
Pastor
