Never ‘sow seed’ when you’re planting crops

Dear Pastor,

I heard someone say that when you are dealing with ganja you should not get mixed up with women. My mother used to tell my brother that he should not sleep with women and plant her Negro yam heads, because that would kill out yams.

To tell you the truth, Pastor, when Mom became ill and could not manage her farm, all her Negro yams died out.

I don't have a clue why people believe that farmers should not have sexual intercourse with their women if they intended to plant certain crops. I was surprised when this was brought to my attention a few weeks ago.

Here you are mentioning that your mother warned your brother not to be intimate with any woman when planting her yam head. Even those who were involved in crops like ganja were warned not to plant them if they were going to go bed with women.

I would love to get a good explanation as to why men are advised to abstain from sex when cultivating ganja and other seeds.
