Ex-boyfriend wants to get me pregnant
Dear Pastor,
I would like you to pray for me and ask God to cover me. I am 16, and I was in a relationship with a 24-year-old guy and everything was going well.
We both live in different parishes, so I used to go and look for him when he was on a break from work. Sometimes it took us months before we saw each other, but because of the communication I felt close to him. We had our difficulties, but we would talk about them. He said I am mentally and physically mature and I knew how to reason, and I was the youngest female he ever dated. But in July, we had an argument which soured the relationship.
I wanted to see him and he said he only had $2,500 to his name. When I saw him, he gave me $1,000, plus he bought food for me. He also bought some personal things for himself. I asked him about not having any money. He told me that I should stop watching him. He even used a 'bad word' to me in a text, and I was shocked because he had never done that before. He also cursed members of my family. He disrespected me and call me 'gal'. He also posted on WhatsApp that he was single. I tried to call him and he said he was on another call with another woman. I called him 10 times, but he did not respond. He ignored me for the entire night, so the following day I blocked him. Then I unblocked him and I sent him a long message cursing him and he sent back a message saying "U gal u nuh see seh a mi gal mi went to last night", and from that time we started to disrespect each other. I told him some bad things because he cheated on me, and I told him that I was cheating also. So, days passed and I decided to text him and apologise. He said he found a girl who worked in a store and she liked him, and he took her home and had sex with her. I decided to erase everything that he sent to me because he is toxic, and he manipulates me.
Recently, he said he wants to get me pregnant. I am not crying over him. I know these feelings will pass eventually. Please pray for me and give me some advice on what to do to be a good female, which I know I am. I crave happiness and love more than anything else. Every guy is the same. I am trying to seek better for myself but I am going the worst way. I am also praying to God. I love God so much, because if it wasn't for God I would be pregnant. He showed me a sign, which I did not ignore, so I went to get the Pill. Father God knows what is best, and I do believe he makes me happy. Thanks in advance.

Dear Writer,
You say that you are 16, but you talk as if you are a grown woman. Evidently, this young man is not your first boyfriend, but he has not treated you with respect. No man should call his girlfriend 'gal' or use bad words to her. He did that to you, but you also used foul language to him. While I will not condemn you for having a boyfriend, I would encourage you to go back to school and get yourself an education, so that you will not have to rely on a man for money. When a man gives a girl $1,000 it is not much. It is not even lunch money; unless he is doing so every day. You went in search of your boyfriend to give him sex. You say that all men are the same, but you are very wrong. The guys you have met have not treated you well. At 16, you have many years ahead of you. Use your years and time wisely, otherwise when you become an adult, you will regret the days you played around. So I beg you to decide what profession you would like to pursue, then get the subjects that you need and try to get into university. You are not ready for a child, so don't even think that way. I wish you well. Let me hear from you again.
