Husband says I am fat and ugly - He insists that he doesn’t have another woman
Dear Pastor,
I am 45 and I have been married twice. Right now, I am still in my second marriage, but it is not working. My husband and I are no longer sleeping together.
When I first met my husband and I came home from work, I could not keep my clothes on. He would be all over me. But that has changed. Now he is finding so many faults. He calls me fat and ugly, and even when I shower and come to bed, he turns his back on me. I do everything to make him feel interested, but he is always tired. Sometimes I allow him to sleep and then wake him up. He would lie on his back and tell me to help myself.
Yes, I have put on a little weight, but I am not overweight. I am about 160 pounds. I know that I can give up this marriage, but I am struggling to keep it because it is my second marriage. I love my husband. When it comes to money, he doesn't hold back. He supports me. I asked him if he has another woman and he says no. Please give me your advice.
K.P.
Dear K.P.,
I want to suggest that you and your husband make an appointment to see a family counsellor. Something has gone wrong, and both of you should try your very best to keep your marriage. Your husband complains about your weight. You should work on that. I hope that he is not just looking for an excuse to ignore you in bed. He might be genuine about his complaints. Accept my suggestion. Both of you should make an appointment to go and see a family counsellor. Write me back and tell me what the counsellor suggested.
Pastor
