Can’t wait to get married

August 15, 2022

Dear Pastor,

I am 19 years old and I have a boyfriend. I have always wanted to get married when I am 21, and it seems that my dream will come through.

My boyfriend is working. Some relatives are saying that I am too young to get married. My boyfriend says that his mother and father got married when both of them were 18 years old, and they are still together.

This is my first boyfriend. He took my virginity when I did not plan to give it up. It happened in the car that he rented. I was fortunate that he did not get me pregnant. The night before he left for America, we had sex again at Port Royal in the car. We talk about these things and laugh. He is moving out of his parents' home and preparing a nice apartment for us. He said his mother and sister are going to decorate it for us. I can't wait to see what it's going to be like. He is getting a king-sized bed. I don't know why such a big bed, because I am very slim. I think that bed is going to be too big for us. But we will see.

We do not want a large wedding. It is going to be a family affair. Wish me well, pastor. I will still continue to read your column after I am married because you give good advice.

Dear Y.N.,

You are not too young to get married. And from what you have written, this man and you are so hot when it comes to lovemaking that you might as well just get married and settle down.

I don't want to comment about the apartment and so on. Suffice it to say that I have discouraged young couples from buying king-sized beds. They need to be close to each other when they are married. However, I don't believe that a king-sized bed will prevent your man and you from finding the arms of each other because both of you are so hot. The size of the bed won't deter you at all.

I would say to you, nevertheless, after you are married, make sure you go back to school. You are still young, so you should do your best to get an education.
