On 'Gaza Prayer', dancehall artiste Devin Di Dakta pays homage to one of his favourite dancehall stars, Vybz Kartel.
The song was produced by Daniel and Stephan Jones for Bassick Records. Social media has been on fire since the song was released a few days ago.
Devin, who won the, 'Magnum King of the Dancehall' competition a few months ago, shared how the song came about.
"If I see further than any man, it's because I've stood on shoulders of giants and, with no doubt, Vybz Kartel is one of those giants, so how must I be ungrateful? #FreeWorldBoss," said Devin.
"The work ethic of Vybz Kartel is one to admire. His songs are creative and intellectually constructed songs. There is no topic that you can think of that he hasn't touched."
Since its upload to YouTube, the song has racked more than 10,000 views.
"The response to the song has been great. Majority of the listeners love the song," said Devin.
Devin is promoting the video and song Gal a Run Mi Down. Fans can vote for the video on Hype TV's VTX Countdown by texting Devin Di Dakta Gal a Run Mi Down to (1876) 444-2453.
