Iconic reggae/dancehall artiste Lady G was recently honoured at the 4th Annual ReggaeXclusive Awards held in Toronto, Canada.

According to Lady G's publicist, Malaika, the artiste is grateful for the honour bestowed on her.

"Lady G is one of the trendsetters in Jamaican dancehall and reggae and she is very grateful to have received recognition for her hard work. It's a blessing when you are recognised while you can say thanks, and this is one of those moments. She continues to produce and create new material because she is simply one of the best to have done it and there is little that anybody can say to dispute that," she said.

Lady G was recently the headlining act at the 34th edition of Montreal's renowned Jamaica Day festival and was backed by The Indie Rootz Band. The icon is now promoting her new EP co-produced by Canada-based label Indie Rootz Records and is titled Smile. Smile the EP, was released

July 17, 2015 and is available on various online stores.

"I loved the vibes while completing this project. Working with Brian Kotler and Bobby Pottinger of Indie Rootz Records along with my brother Vincent 'Poncho' Wright made everything just right. My song Smile has a very special meaning for me, and it will for you, too" said Lady G, speaking on the EP.

Lady G is also promoting a single called, Rock and Come In, which is currently receiving positive reviews from media outlets. The song features up-and-coming songstress Shae Mill and an accompanying music video was recently filmed in Kingston. She also has two additional music videos to be released in coming weeks. both were filmed in Montreal.
