Dancehall artiste Flexx of the popular group T.O.K is gearing up to embark on a solo career under the moniker Double X.

According to the artiste, his fellow group members have been distracted with personal business and are not focusing on brand T.O.K.

The singer says he has waited patiently for his fellow group members to get their priorities straight, however, his patience has expired.

"It's long overdue. A chain is as strong as its weakest link, and I think every man a duh them owna thing right now. When you talk to them, they say T.O.K is priority, but it's clear that's not the case. I am not going to sit and wait on people to do their business, because I have a youth and business to take care of. I also feel like music is my first love and mi just need fi put more inna Double X right now. I had some singles before, but at the end of the day, T.O.K was priority. But right now, Double X is my priority," he told The WEEKEND STAR.

The artiste said that there have always been internal issues, but they always managed to stay together.

"I can't speak for everybody, but mi know seh mi nuh have nuh bad vibes with no man. With every family or organisation yuh a guh have issues, but mi just a look out fi my family and my youth. Mi waah know seh mi all right," he said.

"Mi naah guh siddung and wait because that's what everybody is doing. When you talk to dem, they are going to tell you that they have their family so they have to do this and that. If them waah have blood because of my decision that's up to them, but I had to make this decision."

Flexx also said he would continue to perform with the group if needed; however, he is trying to build the Double X brand.

As Double X, he is also promoting singles, Get Di Money - for which a video will be released this weekend - and Shellinz.

The artiste said he may be contacted for bookings via email at therealdoublex@gmail or by phone at 813-8688. He also has a new Instagram page - @iamdouble_x - which fans can follow .

T.O.K is one of Jamaica's longest-reigning dancehall groups and has been active for about two decades. They are known for singles such as Footprints, Gyal Yuh A Lead, and Bam Bam.

The group is currently featured on Sly & Robbie and Spicy Chocolate's recently released album, Reggae Power 2.
