Trial date set for Flippa Moggela

The date has been set for the trial of jailed entertainer Flippa Moggela. The trial is expected to get under way on October 27 in the Camden County Supreme Court, New Jersey, United States.

According to several online sources, the entertainer, formerly Flippa Mafia, will be the only one brought before the courts in the coming weeks after his two brothers, Kemar and Roger Davis, accepted plea deals. They pled guilty about a month ago.

The popular dancehall personality, who has been in lockup since 2013, will be brought before judge John T Kelly to answer to charges of narcotics trafficking, conspiracy, and money laundering. If found guilty, Flippa Moggela faces life in prison without the

eligibility of parole before 20 years.

Several other

persons, who were jointly charged with him, including one of his babymothers, have since been released.

Flippa Moggela gained popularity for his breakthrough song, Unfinished House, in 2008 and became popular on the dancehall circuit for spewing cash into crowds at stage shows. Before he was jailed, the deejay also tried his hand at producing with the release of the 'Raw Cash' rhythm through his label, Flip Money Records.
