Destiny Sparta promotes new single
Dancehall artiste Destiny Sparta has released a reggae-inspired remix to Adele's 'Hello' single titled 'Hello Dutty Badmind'.
According to the artiste who will perform at Sting for the third time, she uses her own melody in the verses, hence giving the song a unique sound.
"The reception has been great and fans, as well as people from the industry, say they can relate to it. The single is different from a regular raunchy hardcore style and everybody can listen to it. As a matter of fact, some people are saying they cried when listening to the words ... as a matter of fact, I don't think I have ever done a song with so much positive feedback," Destiny Sparta said.
The artiste, who recently scored her first million views on YouTube with the single Mek Wi Touch, said she has been promoting the song on social media and overseas.
"It's been played on the radio locally and internationally and I really give thanks for that because some of the DJs I didn't even have to link them personally. I have been getting requests for dubplates as well, so I would have to say there is not much to complain about as it relates to this song," she said.
Destiny Sparta is known for her collaborations with Tommy Lee Sparta, as well as a strong social media presence. However, she plans to take her career a step further in 2016.
"I have always wanted to be a household name, and for 2016 I am doing the songs that everybody can listen to. I know that decision will take me to higher heights," she said.
The artiste is also promoting songs like Hot Gyal Wine and Let You Go. A music video was also released for Hello Dutty Badmind and can be viewed on YouTube.
