Time Unlimited releases Love Made Us
Love Made Us, the new album from reggae music crooners Orville Smith and the Time Unlimited group, contains elements of a roots-rocking reggae vibe mixed with contemporary lovers' rock.
The eight-track compilation, under the wings of Throne Room Music, is produced by Smith and features tracks by him and other group members, the late Junior Delgado and Nigel Blake. Smith told THE STAR that the track I'll Be Around is the lead single they are currently promoting.
He said: "Junior Delgado is deceased and the album is in honour of him ... . He also has a song included called Give Love."
Love Made Us also features Love Me Now, Don't Change It, and a reggae and R&B version of the single Gotta Hold This Feeling.
The group, launched in 1973, has been making inspiring music, over 40 years and has put together a body of work that is still relevant in parts of the world today, namely Japan and Europe.
Over the years, they have recorded for Sly and Robbie, Joe Gibbs, and Dean Henry.
Smith, who is maintaining the group's presence in the absence of its core members, is passionate about their latest album. He told THE STAR that the Love Made Us album is skilfully crafted and destined to be a classic.
Meanwhile, there is still high demand worldwide for the groups' older songs, which include hits such as Africa We Are Going Home, Twenty Third Psalm, and Run Bald Head.
Time Unlimited can be located at 18 Durrell Avenue in Duhaney Park, Kingston 20, or be contacted at 807-5768 or 933-4513.
