Club Manhattan a success
Flex Weekend's launching event Club Manhattan pulled hundreds of patrons to the Fiction Nightclub, St Andrew, over the weekend.
The event, which attracted an admission fee of over $20,000, had patrons lined up at the gate from as early as 11 p.m. However, it was not until minutes after 1 a.m that the club was filled to capacity.
Club Manhattan was attended by Yanique 'Curvy Diva' Barrett, popular designer Bonnie Lee, among other notable persons. Award-winning disc jock ZJ Liquid and ZJ Rush were both booked for the event and they delivered strong sets, much to the approval of the patrons.
ZJ Liquid played several songs from the '90s and early 2000s, paying attention to the work of Vybz Kartel and hot rhythms from the Stephen McGregor era. Songs like My Scheme by Vybz Kartel and Blak Ryno's Diss The Link got strong reactions. ZJ Rush came next and he paid attention to the ladies and stimulated much dancing with popular hip hop and dancehall records.
THE STAR exited the venue at minutes after 3 a.m, and even then the club was still packed with patrons showing now signs of leaving. Bartenders were also kept busy throughout the night with persons purchasing premium liquor, in the process sending sparkles flying in the VIP area.
