This Saturday at Roxborough Beach in St Ann's Bay, promoters anticipate that the shores will be awash with patrons, who will support the fourth Rum Fire Intoxicated beach party and stage show.

Both a performer and promoter of the show, Ymige, estimates the event can to pull up to 5,000 patrons.

Ymige said some proceeds of the event are sent to schools in St Ann's Bay and surrounding communities.

"Now we have the summer league, where we donate jerseys and stuff. It's something that keeps the show together and strong, with the support from community people," he continued.

Ymige said it isn't just charity that pulls patrons' attention, but also the execution of the stage show.

"They know that when they pay their money to see an act or to come see a selector, they know that they're gonna turn up," Ymige said.

POPULAR ACTS TO PERFORM

Spice, Tommy Lee, Razor B and Twins of Twins are just some of the more popular acts scheduled to perform.

Other artistes slated to appear are Progress, Missa Bling, and Chinchilla.

"I have a song called Intoxicated," Ymige said, admitting that he was instrumental in the naming of the event. "We recorded the song and put it down about four years ago."

He said the planning team wanted a catchy name like the popular beach parties that came before, like Mugz and Sandz.

"So they used the name from the song," he said. Ymige said they have started filming the music video for Intoxicated, and promises an audiovisual blast before the end of this year.

Ymige also revealed that event organisers intend to host the event multiple times for the year.

"We planning to keep the event every three months or every holiday," he said.

Gates for Rum Fire's Intoxicated will open as early as 3 p.m., and an extended permit will allow entertainment to carry on until 4 a.m.
