Junior Reid to celebrate birthday with stars

International reggae superstar Delroy 'Junior' Reid is gearing up for the annual staging of his birthday party to be held at Margaritaville in Ocho Rios, St Ann, on June 23.

The star-studded event will ignite Jamaica's north coast with a host of reggae heavyweights, including Barrington Levy, Richie Spice, Half Pint, and Luciano, as well as younger acts Teflon, Juju Blood, Young Jr, and Jesse Royal.

Dancehall general Bounty Killer heads the line-up. According to Reid, the event will be like none other.

"It is going to be like a movie. This package of artistes on the line-up are going to have a strong impact, because you have never seen all these calibre of artistes on one show before. This party will be an historical experience and music lovers should come out early," he said.

The One Blood artiste, who has collaborated with a large number of international stars during his long career, hinted that there will also be surprise international celebrities at the show.

The musical juggling will be executed by Stone Love sound system, DJ Wayne, Big A and Zj Ice.

Following the birthday celebration, Reid will travel to New York to perform at S.O.B.'s on June 30.
