Lee 'Scratch' Perry takes on Kanye West in bizarre interview

Pioneering Jamaican producer Lee 'Scratch' Perry made incendiary comments about controversial American rapper and entrepreneur, Kanye West, while speaking on a Canadian radio programme called The Strombo Show.

“Him sell his mother’s soul to get rich — sell his mother’s soul, sell his soul to get the American dollars that is going down. Why should I listen to somebody that is so perfect and so unperfect and so stupid?" Perry said.

Kanye's mother, Donda West, died in 2007 of heart disease after surgery.

"I did not sell my soul. I don’t need a bulletproof jacket. And I don’t have a woman with a real big ba*@y because me is not afflicted by big ba*@y. I am not addicted to big ba*@y. And I am not addicted to Kim ... The girls I have is not too fat," Perry continued.

Perry expressed his support for Drake, who he likened to a snake.

"I do like the Drake, because the Drake is coming from a snake, and he can turn--," Perry said, gesturing with his hands from right to left. "Nice, not a problem. Have fun, Drake," he said.
