Recording artiste G Blunt has collaborated with veteran overseas-based DJ Father Bently for his new mixtape titled 'G Blunt Street Album'.

The last mixtape released by G Blunt was produced by Stone Love sound system and was downloaded over 50,000 times on SoundCloud.com.

The artiste, who has penned songs for several artistes, believes Father Bentley's endorsement will give the song more leverage in the international market.

"He is the biggest mixtape DJ in New York City and so I am looking for a positive response in that side of the world. Music does not stop in Jamaica, so I am working overtime to appeal to every market. Stone Love gave me a good push and right now I am only looking to go further up the ladder in the music industry," G Blunt said.

The deejay, who had tongues wagging last year after he claimed that he and fellow dancehall artiste General B were involved in a love triangle, also noted that he was staying far from controversy.

"I am working with some veterans, so there is no need for me to get embroiled into negative things for hype. I am taking a positive approach and building my foundation based on the blueprint set by our pioneers. Dancehall has been slandered because of negativity for a while now, and I am not going to add to that wave," he said.

The mixtape will be featured in Soundcloud @gbluntmusic. He will also be releasing a collaboration with reggae artiste Natel in coming weeks.

"I keep releasing mixtapes because it's a good way to promote your brand and also to kinda build your catalogue. Artistes like Aidonia and Busy Signal got good traction through their mixtapes back in the day and I am on the same trip," he said.
