Overseas-based entertainer Menace Darkead said he has strengthened his claim on the industry with the release of his EP, titled Pepper Light.

The dancehall artiste, who has been working with Queen Mountains Productions, said he thinks he now has the right team.

"It's good to see that I am now getting airplay and I have been breaking into other countries. This recording has shown me that I have come of age musically, and it is a wonderful feeling to have an EP under my wing," he said.

He told THE STAR how he made connections with Queen Mountains Productions.

"I was getting some plays in Sweden for a popular song on a radio station called Radio Oskarshamn. Based on the vibes of the song, it pulled the attention of radio DJ Anna Olin Diaz, who is also a producer and selector for a reggae dancehall show called SubTropical #156. She came to Jamaica to interview me and then I was published in a Sweden-based newspaper. After the feature, she came back and expressed that she wanted to do some work with my music, and now we have a EP out," Menace Darkead

Queen Mountains Productions recently released Menace Darkead's first music video for the title track on the EP.

The song is featured on the 365 rhythm, which also features Busy Signal, Assassin and Queen Ifrica, among others.

"I am making strides and it's a pleasure to be on the same rhythms with some big names. People can also check out the Sometime rhythm compilation, which features a song from Vybz Kartel and a song from myself called Galis," he said.
