Pretty Pretty is my wife - I Waata defends dancer girlfriend after raunchy social media posts

On the weekend, Team Spice dancer Pretty Pretty was called out on social media about her 'nakedness'.

In one particular post, she was 'clothed' in a mesh shirt with her breasts clearly exposed.

Her style of dress had several critics advising her to carry herself better not only as an entertainer and public figure but as a woman whose boyfriend, I Waata (Di Play Gad), is also in the limelight.

Some social media users believe that she was being disrespectful to the artiste.

However, the dancehall deejay seemed unbothered by the criticisms and only commented under the sexy image of Pretty Pretty with lyrics of his latest track Bare Face.

Speaking to THE STAR, I Waata expressed that there would always be positive and negative people in the space of an entertainer.

Comment is just a comment

"Couple of months ago, dem neva ah call me name, especially not on her page and she always inna the light. So now me step inna the light now, people a guh hear one bag ah tings ... just how entertainment guh," I Waata said.

He continued: "I learn to accept that a comment is just a comment. If people nah call yuh name, yuh nuh hot. More people talk the bookings go up."

Addressing the debate around his dancer girlfriend's respect for him, I Waata explained that it does not matter what anyone else says because she gives him respect daily.

"She is not my girl; she is my wife ... my good, good woman. And so even when she post " bare face gyal a you me love" (a line from his song) is just respect and she ah promote it. But people hear the song and think say ah she," he said.

I Waata explained that the song "Is for the bare face females - you know the meaning of bare face man - vulgarity. And the song I have for her [Pretty Pretty] is not this one, the one I do for her people soon get fi hear it."

The Cut Off Jeans deejay shared that the two have been together for approximately 10 years.

"Nothing don't bother her, she loves to laugh and when people a chat and a kick up rumpus over them things on social media, ah right beside each other me an' har deh," he said.
