The Coronavirus (Covid-19), which has caused thousands of deaths worldwide, is the subject of a new song from St Catherine artiste Tartydale.

He said that the song, Corona Cure, was inspired by his desire to make a positive contribution in light of concerns surrounding the virus.

He suggested that the "prevention of this problem is to go back to nature and use the garlic in water".

Tartydale, given name Tareke Jones, said that he intends to carry the song in schools and other places to educate and entertain.

"The song was written by me with the input of my wife, who helped with the lyrics," Jones said.

Originally from Harbour View in St Andrew, Jones said he started to realise that he liked music from his early days in school.

"This is my first recording, however, I always knew that I had entertainment in me. This started from my school days at Camperdown High. I was a member of the music club. I would beat down the desk and chant positive lyrics at concerts and other such events," he said.
