Vanessa Bling eyes big international collab

Exciting dancehall entertainer Vanessa Bling has disclosed that a major international collaboration with one of America's most talented rapper is in the making. The Independent Ladies singjay made the revelation in an interview with THE STAR last week.

The artiste kept the name of the rapper close to her chest, but teased a line from the song and said she is very "excited' about the project.

"I have so many surprises for my fans. I'm not allowed to say all," Vanessa Bling said, adding that her goal is to "make this project help push the genre internationally".

Vanessa Bling broke onto the entertainment scene in the early 2000s and rode a wave of success that came with being a member of the Vybz Kartel-led Gaza Empire. The entertainer, known for serving up female anthems, collaborated with fast-rising dancehall artiste, D'Yani for a sultry single, Soul Tied, which has racked up 1.2 million views on YouTube.

The entertainer, whose given name is Vanessa Saddler, recently sealed a major corporate deal with Rum-Bar Jamaican rum. The vixen, known for songs such as One Man and Real Love, has been been unveiled alongside fast-rising dancehall sensation, 450, as the faces of the alcohol brand's '100% Jamaican' campaign.

"Rum-Bar being an elite brand was an easy choice for me, and I feel so happy being a part of the Rum-Bar family because they treated me with class and respect," Vanessa Bling told THE STAR.

Regarding her collaboration with 450, she described it as an "awesome" experience, highlighting his dedication to his craft and their shared commitment to their work.

"He is going straight to the top! Great individual and takes his work so serious, just like me," she said of the Journey deejay.

In the meantime, the singjay, who described herself as "beautifully-blessed, smart, powerful and independent", said she is proud of her strives in the arena thus far, and she aims to get better. The dancehall princess said that staying relevant as a female artiste is challenging. However, "the key is to be yourself, sing quality music". She also said it is important for persons to focus on their goals and to set new ones each year.

As for her achievements thus far, Vanessa Bling thinks she has done well.

"Musically, I have achieved so many awards, but personally I have accomplished a lot of my goals. [I have] built my mom a house and a bar to support her, as she was the one who was there for me in rough times from a child until now. I have made several investments, which worked for example, real estate wise," she disclosed.
