Amari crowns Gully Bop best kisser ever

A perfect kiss is said to be one that allows for a meeting of souls, through an intimate exchange that transcends words.

Amari says she can relate to this magical feeling, which has only happened when her lips met Gully Bop's. Amari, Gully Bop's one-time lover, said the Body Specialist deejay's proficiency in the art of kissing surpassed any physical hindrance.

"He makes my body tingle. He was the best kisser ever," Amari told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Gully Bop, a popular popular dancehall artiste whose given name is Robert Lee Malcolm, died last October after a period of illness. His remains were buried last Sunday. The entertainer was identifiable by his toothless grin, but this did not diminish Amari's affection towards him. The mother of 13 harboured hopes of becoming Mrs Malcolm, and even though their relationship was short lived, Amari said she never stopped loving him.

"I have always expected to get back with Bop because the six months that I spent with him was better than six years with someone else," she said.

Amari, who lives in the United States of America, did not attend Gully Bop's funeral due to flight issues. She, nonetheless, visited the island last week with three of her children and a grandson to connect with her former flame whom she intends to marry in the afterlife.

"I am not interested in anyone because my partner [Gully Bop] is right here with me," Amari said, as she declared her intention to be celibate for the rest of her life.

"I was at Hilton [Hotel] the other night and I was just dancing with Gully Bop. I saw him, but it was a younger version of him, and we were dancing together. I can see myself just staying this way until I crossover. I don't know what it will take for the world to just understand that he is the love of my life and there is no one ever to replace him," she said.

In the meantime, Amari has signalled her determination to cherish her memories with Gully Bop, whom she painted as the consummate gentleman. She revealled that the deejay was one who "took care of me", adding that he "would put on my boots and prepare my clothes".

Not only does she carry the entertainer in her heart, but she wears his name on her arm with pride, as the name 'Lee' is inked in her skin.

"I did it couple years ago because he is divine to me," she said.
