Dancehall artiste Vershon's tribute music video for his latest single, Zip It Up, that salutes late dancer Bogle, debuted at No. 5 on the US iTunes Video Chart, surpassing artistes like Megan Thee Stallion and Taylor Swift.

The Inna Re al Life singer said that he is humbled by the feat, as he aims to foster a renaissance for dancing and dancing songs in the dancehall space.

"This accomplishment truly feels amazing if I'm honest. The music isn't just appreciated in the Caribbean, it's all over the world, and knowing it charted No. 5 in the US overall charts, and then again at No. 1 on the reggae charts, amongst so much other great talents and videos, speaks volumes," he said.

Vershon said that it was very important to add visuals to Zip It Up because "I wanted the world to see that it's time to take it back to basics".

"I wanted to be the change and difference to set back the trend, and what better way to show dedication and honour to the late great dancing icon Gerald Levy, renowned as Bogle and Mr Wacky, than to feature some of Jamaica's finest dancers, including Mr Wacky's protege Boysie, as well as Colo Colo [and] modern-time dancers Pata Skeng and Energy. The music video is vibrant and full of legacy. I'm just happy I was able to bring that back to dancehall," he added.

Zip It Up was released on April 19 and is a co-production between Cashflow Recordz and Vershon's Real Queffa Records.
