In a smooth but aggressive flow of reliving the "horrors" of an alleged rape ordeal, emerging dancehall artiste Queen Danger spills 'her truth' in her upcoming single, Truth Be Told.

"The recording process challenged me, because mi did affi actually adapt fi bring out the message the right way with the right emotions, because mi did affi change mi voice and expressions inna different parts addi song fi get it across inna my way. It was really a challenge, but mi did jus affi listen to mi body and how mi feel, and go wid di flow," Danger told THE STAR.

The alleged incident, which reportedly took place seven years ago, allegedly between Spice's ex-partner, resurfaced recently after Spice released a song titled 2085 Tea. On the track, Spice claimed that one of her former employees had an affair with her then boyfriend.

"My emotions fluctuate throughout the process [of making the song], because, you know, mi did affi feel the pain the same mi did feel, suh mi cudda bring it out. But at di same time, mi affi feel the strength suh mi cudda back the pain, because di pain is in the past and the strength is in the present," said Danger. The artiste shared that letting out all her bottled-up hurt brought her peace.

"Mi feel relieved that mi actually get to send out the message that I wanted to, and mi nuh feel suh much of a burden like mi affi a explain miself suh much and mi feel stuck where the story is concerned. It's like a message of prayer and a reflection of the incident itself," said Danger. She expressed hope that the world will receive the song as an "anthem and prayer for rape victims".

"I hope they can find strength and comfort in [this] song, knowing you'll be okay; forgive and heal. Remember, most of us [rape victims] have the same feedback where when yuh talk, most people nuh believe and waah bash yuh and lash out. Suh mi hope dem find comfort and can be strong and move on, because a nuh dem alone it happen to," said Danger.

In an aid to move on with her life, Danger said she wants to bury the hatchet with this new single once and for all.

"Inna di last part a di song, mi tell di man [Spice's partner] seh 'God will address him.' Mi jus' a mek everything play out because mi believe inna karma, suh anything weh anybody fi get dem, a go get it eventually," the Rodeo artiste expressed. The new track concluded with an audio from one of Spice's public rants, criticising her ex-lover as "the worst babyfather pon di universe", while charging him to come and publicly address "what really happened in that room".

" Truth Be Told is my truth [and] mi a stand up firm and strong wid my truth. Suh since everybody has something to say, she do fi her song wid wah she think she know; me do a song wid my actual truth and fact that mi tell her. Suh since nobody else never hear, mi put it inna a song and tell it how best me think mi cudda deliver it," she firmly stated.

Danger said she will be working on a more "upbeat, fun" track to segue into a new energy to compile her debut EP.
