With the hype centred around dancehall artiste's Vybz Kartel's 'Freedom Street' concert, promoter Joe Bogdanovich has no doubt that the 'World Boss' will be in "tip-top shape" and ready to take on what he said will be a historical event to close out 2024.

"[I] assure you that Vybz Kartel's health and well-being are our top priorities. We would never put him in a situation where he couldn't deliver his best," he told THE STAR. "Kartel is a true professional, and he's been eagerly preparing for this moment. I've seen changes in his look, feel, and overall sense of well-being. He's breathing fresh air, surrounded by lots of positivity, and he's genuinely happy about the love and support he's receiving."

He added, "His determination to return to the stage at Freedom Street and reconnect with his fans is stronger than ever, and he's focused on giving a performance that will be unforgettable."

After announcing the date for his concert a month ago, which evoked a stream of responses on social media, Vybz Kartel had the Internet in a frenzy again on Monday after he announced the name of the concert and the venue - the National Stadium. When asked if he thinks this concert is projected to be the biggest show in Jamaica, Bogdanovich replied, "Absolutely."

"We're even considering adding another event night due to the overwhelming demand. This isn't just a show; it's a testament to Kartel's unmatched influence and the deep connection he has with his fans. It's shaping up to be the biggest event Jamaica has seen in years, if not ever," he stated.

"Freedom Street is not just another concert; it's a global celebration. Fans are flocking in from every corner of the globe--US, UK, Mexico, the Caribbean, and beyond. The energy is electric, and the impact will be immense. The return of the World Boss is more than a musical event; it's a powerful statement to the world. The buzz is already blazing online, and the economic ripple effects will be substantial. This concert is going to be a monumental boost for the country, fostering unity and showcasing Jamaica's vibrant cultural spirit on a global stage. The positive momentum is undeniable, and it's only just beginning," he opined.

Bogdanovich noted that the decision for DownSound Entertainment to partner with Vybz Kartel came just a week or two after his release.

"The excitement at DownSound Entertainment is off the charts. We're absolutely thrilled about the potential of this collaboration and the incredible journey ahead. This isn't just about putting on a show; it's about elevating the music scene, both in Jamaica and internationally. The possibilities are endless, and the energy around this project is electric. We can't wait to see where this groundbreaking partnership will take us and how it will resonate with fans around the world," hee stated. Though tight-lipped about the ticket prices, he admitted that the production took "millions".

"Kartel's excitement is tangible--he's so fired up about his return to the stage after 14 years that he's jokingly urging fans to 'sell their houses, cars, and organs' to be part of this historic event. While his enthusiasm is infectious, the real deal is that tickets will go on sale on August 31 at 3 a.m. and trust me, you won't want to miss it. The anticipation is building, and we can't wait to unveil the details," he said.

However, though the details of one act - Shawn Storm - was confirmed for the event in a previous interview with THE STAR, Bogdanovich said this "concert is all about Kartel and he's hand-picking the artistes who will share the stage with him".

"Freedom Street is about more than just a line-up; it's about the love, the energy, and the connection he'll bring to the stage as he reunites with his fans. This will be a performance for the ages -- something you'll be talking about for years to come," he said.
