ZJ Chrome sees upcoming Red Bull Culture Clash as war zone
ZJ Chrome views the upcoming Red Bull Culture Clash event, set for November 2, as a war zone which he and his Jamaica Wi Seh crew will contest against three other contending groups.
ZJ Chrome and his crew, which consists of DJ Frass, TC, DJ Banka and Chris Dymond, were asked by a member of the audience at the recent launch at ROK Hotel in downtown Kingston, whether or not "cheap shots" will be brought to the stage. The seasoned selector replied: "Bredda, a nuh radio we de pan. A war zone!" The other crews are Lon Don Crew, Madhouse Experience and Big Bad Soca.
"We coming to beat and teach. We going beat all these people weh sell out the culture... On November 2, we'll explain. Right now, we just a go beat and teach man," said ZJ Chrome, who has been on stage at the Red Bull Culture Clash twice. Entertainer Bada Bling, who had the roving microphone for persons to ask the crews questions, asked ZJ Chrome which three artistes would he consider a must for "war" during a clash.
ZJ Chrome said, "You know wa me seh already? Gaza me seh," hinting that he will pulling on hits from Vybz Kartel.
The Red Bull Culture Clash event will be held inside the National Arena with four crews and four stages, but one winner at the end of the night. The Lon Don Crew consists of Steff London, Fada Shella, Slap Weh, Wayne Ed, Junior Killa, DJ Mac, Shaka and DJ Juvey, while Madhouse Experience consists of Baby Cham, Colin 'The Captain' Hines, Copper Shaun and Game Chang. The Big Bad Soca crew consists of Voice, Bobby Killa, Mun-Ra, Salty, Akeem 5.0, Travis World, Major Penny and DJ Elon.
