Rising dancehall artiste Vosanity is determined to carve out his own lane in the music industry, believing that his unique sound and creative style set him apart from the crowd.

Hailing from the scenic parish of St Ann, the 21-year-old, whose real name is Brandon Brown, has a story as captivating as his music.

Born to a teenage mother and raised by his grandmother, Vosanity's early life was anything but easy.

"When I was four, my grandmother took me and she grew me up... It did kinda hard still because my mother had me like really young, suh most things neva really active back den. But when wi go back weh mi grandmother deh yah now, most things kinda [improve]," the Ferncourt High School past student shared.

The artiste, whose given name is Brandon Brown, revealed how he went from Brandon to 'Vosanity' as his stage moniker.

"At first it was just 'Sanity' but I was having copyright issues cause a nuff artiste name Sanity. A friend's suggestion to add "two more letters infront" led to the fusion of "Sanity" with his crew's name, VOS, birthing Vosanity. "It just connect yuh nuh," he said.

Despite only starting his professional journey just over a year ago, Vosanity knew from an early age that music was his passion.

"Mi madda always a seh, [when] mi a go out wid har, a infront addi bass box mi deh, suh mi just love music; and mi father always a deejay round mi suh mi jus grow an interest inna it," he said. Since then, he's been on a mission to make his mark, releasing several tracks, including his latest single Money produced by Mill Man Entertainment and Rasdizzle Productions, alongside other hits such as Sick, Sin, and Vacancy.

The young trap-dancehall singjay shared why he is confident that his musical style, sound and individuality will make him a more noticeable artiste among his colleagues.

"Yuh know seh di North Coast youth dem, wi have a different sound - wi raunchy, fi wi ting different - wi nuh really sound like nobody else. Yuh can know seh a down deh suh wi come from when yuh hear wi a sing. But my style raunchy, mi know fi play wid di words dem suh my thing kinda different," Vosanity opined.

He, however, noted that he is also versatile in creating reality songs and any other type of music to match any situation. He said, further, that his childhood lifestyle adds special, unique details to his craft, which will make him stand out.

"How me grow up still, it did kinda hard; everybody have dem struggles but mi feel like your story different dan everybody else and dat build me and mi live some life suh mi have things fi talk bout inna mi music; mi can talk bout my life and people can relate to it ... I guess addi way mi sing, people like hear mi voice, dem can differentiate it," said Vosanity.

He credits influential artistes like Vybz Kartel, Bob Marley, Chronic Law, Javillani, and Dexta Daps as his musical inspirations.

At just 21 years old, Vosanity is determined to disrupt the music scene, aiming to rise above the competition and establish himself as a mogul in the business.

"Mi just [a guh] be different and put in the work because a di work speak - yuh affi can sell out yuh show dem, left a legacy, help people inna di game too, and spread some light pon di North Course because people naah really consume music on that side," he reasoned.
