'Gaza princesses' Lisa Hyper and Gaza Indu were excited following their raunchy and nostalgic performances with Vybz Kartel - after a 13-year wait - at his Freedom Street concert on Tuesday.

With this being Kartel's first event since his release from prison in July, the artistes, who have been loyal members of the Kartel-led 'Gaza Empire', shared how special this moment was for them.

"The experience was great. When mi forward inside a di stadium and see di crowd mi a seh 'Yow, how mi ago duh dis?' cause, memba, enuh, a 13 years, enuh. But mi a tell yuh seh, bredrin, it was a joy gracing the stage with mi boss after 13 years. It was awesome, it was a great feeling," Gaza Indu told THE WEEKEND STAR moments after her performance with Kartel. In a seductive but playful performance, they reminded fans of the musical chemistry they ignited years ago with the release of their hit singles, including Virginity, Know Bout Me, and Climb The Mountain.

Gaza Indu, in reflecting on her fight to beat cervical cancer, shared that overcoming that "near-death" experience, made her performance at Freedom Street even more special.

"After all I've been through, and even today before I came to the show, I got some terrible news, but mi come and mi deliver and that's what I'm happy for - that I was able to deliver. A suh mi know mi a warrior, mi naah give up and mi ago fight to di end like Chucky," she firmly stated, while crediting God for instilling the "fighting spirit" she possesses to push through difficult times with such great strength and vigour. Unfortunately, the talented singer shared the sad news about her father's passing in an Instagram post in the wee hours on Thursday.

Lisa Hyper, meanwhile, detailed her dramatic entrance to the stage, in a bid not to miss out on the moment.

"After 13 years, sharing the stage with my mentor meant a lot to me. That's why I ran from the parking lot to the stage, which was very lengthy and a hectic task to get pass the crowd that was blocking the entrance. I did everything to reach to the stage and I [was] very grateful, elated and overwhelmed to be a part of the historical moment," Lisa Hyper said.

Though her performance was cut short, it wasn't short of the spice, energy and 'hype' that the Attitude singer brought to the Freedom Street stage.

"[It] was definitely a hyperactive one; it definitely went from hype to hyper - full of energy [and] was quick because I only got to do two songs [because] the show started late, so they had to cut the sets short. But my fans loved my energetic performance and so did I," she said. The artiste said Freedom Street's 'Gaza reunion' was the start of many more projects to come.
