In a tear-jerking interview, musical artiste and social media personality Shauna Controlla has dismissed allegations of being involved in a relationship with Vybz Kartel's son, Likkle Addi.

"Dem [the public] put mi inna whole heap a depression state through social media - dem mek mi waah kill miself, dem mek mi nuh waah live pon Earth. Mi waah run weh from mi culture; there is so much things bredda - I am so tired," Shauna told THE STAR as she broke down in tears. "Mi cyaah guh round nobody and dem nuh think how dem waah think and it nuh fair. It is not fair fi di youth [Likkle Addi] fi dem a spread rumours. Him just [get] a young baby. How yuh expect him baby madda fi feel when dem ago tek up a video and spread all these lies?"

The controversy was sparked from a viral video of Shauna and Likkle Addi sharing a snap with his arms around her neck as they vibed to one of his dad's songs during the young artiste's birthday celebration.

"[We] nuh inna no sexual relationship or nothing at all," she stressed. "Mi a nuh di only girl him snap wid. We were at his birthday event and a lot a females were there from outta di 'Gaza camp' and who affiliated wid Kartel. And Likkle Addi hug up and dance wid other females. Suh why my own gone viral dan everybody else, why? Dem fi stop tek set pon mi man, dem only a mek people scared fi come around mi - it unfair," she said. Shauna noted that she has been friends with Kartel for over two decades and was just showing her support at his son's birthday party, to which she was invited.

"Jamaica have a problem wid mi so much and mi cyaah wait fi left dis place. Dem hate mi so much dat dem just nuh waah mi have nobody roun mi. It is not fair and Jamaica need fi gimmi a break and leave mi alone," she continued.

The artiste said the propaganda and public tarnishing of her name has been impacting her family and believes it has affected her career as persons are scared to work with her.

"Is like dem waah mi fi guh hide behind bush - a run dem a try run mi weh, enuh. Dem see seh mi a glow and mi age backwards, dem waah tear mi dung and brainwash people against mi...and while dem a bring mi dung dem nuh know seh dem a knock out food outta mi likkle youth mouth...and a stop a likkle youth blessing," she said, adding that Kartel has been encouraging her to "forget the naysayers" and stay positive.

During another emotional breakdown, the singer, who was the former partner of dancehall artiste Gully Bop, credited her spiritual strength for enduring the years of backlash she has faced from the public.

"Mi don't know how mi dweet, mi don't know," she said tearfully. "Sometimes mi wish mi neva alive [or] mi wish mi neva famous. Mi wish God did pave waah different road fi mi. Mi nuh know why him put mi inna dah position yah because it's so hard. And mi tell people seh if unu can pave a different way fi be successful, don't be famous," Shauna said. She then apologised to Likkle Addi, his babymother and the entire family for the situation.

"It's not my fault, mi know seh mi is a target in Jamaica and mi shudda know betta dan fi deh deh a enjoy miself and a post activities," she said.

Shauna recently released a remixed version of her single, Titanic with Jahshii. She is also set to release the music video for her track, Weh Yuh Want? - which is dedicated to Gully Bop.
