The One Man To Mi Goodie singer said the allegations made by bloggers are false as she is "happy and free".

The allegations came from a recent live stream in which Queenie shared a 'heart-to-heart' conversation with her fans, detailing her life stories growing up with her father in Jamaica and what life is like as a famous artiste residing in the US. She highlighted her struggles and how she overcame her adversaries, including her emotional turmoil throughout her marriage in which she has now filed for divorce. She explained that her tears were not signs of a breakdown.
"Dat's like when yuh cyaah cope and cyaah function. But crying for a minute or two is just expression of me letting off emotional steam. No, mi naah guh breakdown ova Dewey, mi get over Dewey and mi deh pon di Internet a laugh and a have fun wid bare man. Di likkle single life sweet mi," she said with a laugh. However, she quickly added that those interactions are going no further than on the Internet.
"Is like a rat race - everybody a look fi see who ago get mi, but I'm not ready to mingle with anyone," Queenie stated firmly.
In a previous interview with THE STAR, Queenie, who filed for divorce last August, on the grounds of "their marriage has broken down irretrievably", said she had made a conscious decision to walk away to "free" her ex-husband, as she is "the bigger person". She insisted nothing has changed.
"We are still separated, not yet fully divorced, but I have no intention fi go back, no way," she stressed, while noting that she has been having fewer episodes of breakdowns and sleepless nights since their separation last May.
"Time is a great healer and, through di duration a time, mi find back miself, start fi duh back everything by miself," she said. "Mi find back mi sanity, find back miself and I'm not rushing in any relationship. Mi like di single life, mi a enjoy it," she giggled. However, she noted that, with her divorce not yet finalised, she still possesses those "marital principles" which kept her grounded.
Dewey, whose given name is Duwayne Scarlett, and Queenie (Janese Espeut), who tied the knot in a lavish beach wedding in Jamaica in 2021, have been faced with several roller-coaster moments, some of which spewed over in the public domain through their various online platforms.
"By him leaving, mi achieve so much more strength and I forgive him and I hope him can find it in him heart to forgive me, because him still a hold grudge," said Queenie. The artiste revealed that, in maintaining a strong mind and psychological balance, she's been practising more voice training, and plans to enrol in some classes to get certified to work with special needs children.
