In 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic rocked the world, dancehall artiste Insideeus got his musical break from his hit single Guard Up. This year, he is anticipating a greater response from his latest track titled Fast Life. THE STAR caught up with the St Catherine-born entertainer, who described the single as elevating and inspirational.

" Fast Life is really about a particular lifestyle about what a gwan around me and the positive energy that aims at uplifting not just myself but others. This song is about elevation including nice houses and cars and just living comfortably. Life out there fi live and mi just a encourage the youths dem to live it," he said.

Fast Life was produced by Chap City Lifestyle Records and Brown Man Muzik. Released earlier this year, he has great expectations for the song, but knows the chips can fall any place.

"I have had big songs before and I have learned enough say when yuh have big songs, you just release them. The song that I expected to hit a few years ago wasn't it, but it was Guard Up. I also have other songs that are doing well in other parts of the world. I have songs that did so well that they changed my life, so I just put out songs now and not put any particular expectation to them because any game can play," Insideeus said.

Some of the lyrical content of Fast Life could give the impression that the recording artiste was promoting lottery scamming, but Insideeus said this is not necessarily the case, although the topic is what is trending on the dancehall scene.

"To be honest, a deh so the music deh in a sense, so mi just a sing 'bout what a gwan. So who wah take it say a scam song, can do that. For me, it's just motivation because we a accomplish tings inna life through music that we dream of. So we just a talk bout the fast life and luxuries and some accomplishment weh we no haffi disclose," the entertainer said.

Insideeus is known for other singles such as Big Choppa, Dutty Money and Dream Come True.
