After wowing fans with her extraordinary make-up artist skills, Bad Brat said she's ready to explore the full extension of her artistic creativity through music.

"Making this transition feels empowering and natural for me," said the Guyanese artiste. "Make-up was my first creative language, it helped me to express my emotions and tell stories visually. Music is an extension of that same creativity just in a different form. As much as I'm grateful for the recognition I gained over the years, I'm overly excited and ready to create a sound, a voice and a legacy that's entirely my own," she told THE WEEKEND STAR.

She said that she always had a desire to do music, but took her time to master her craft and understand herself as an artiste.

"What finally pushed me to give in to the idea was realising that my voice and story deserved to be heard beyond visuals. Annada (her given name is Annada Anthon) lives the story and Bad Brat tells it loudly through music, visuals and performance," she said, adding that she will continue using her make-up skills to enhance her music career.

"Dancehall intrigues me because you can have freedom to express your emotions - [it] allows you to tell real stories without filters [and] it naturally connects with my lifestyle and soul, which makes the fusion feel authentic rather than forced. Merging my Guyanese culture with dancehall comes along with challenges but that also brings the excitement and gives my sound its own identity and as a 'pophall' artiste. That balance is what sets me apart," she opined. The singer said she started recording professionally in 2023 and admitted that though her journey has already faced several challenges, her "consistency and determination" kept her going. She also credited her 'day-one' fans for being her tower of strength.

Also realising the artiste's talent was international music label Boss Lady Muzik, with which she has secured a record deal. Label CEO Nicole Taban, said "We're looking forward to strategically developing Bad Brat's brand, expanding her reach, and utilising her wide range of talents as she continues her journey toward becoming a global superstar."
