What you have cannot save you

How long have you been saved? I have been saved for 16 years.

How did you get your conviction? My conviction came about when I was influenced by my friends. Most of them were already saved, so I said I had to be saved and get baptised, too. However, when I told my parents, they were not supportive of the decision.

They didn't want me to get baptised. They said I was too young and did not understand what I was getting into. They thought I was not ready. I decided to get baptised without their permission. I went to the river and took my water baptism.

What has been your most challenging moment? My most challenging time since I have been saved was when I was attending high school. The peer pressure was really bad. There was pressure regarding girls and trying to keep up with my peers.

What has been your most miraculous moment? My most miraculous encounter since being saved was when I laid hands on myself and was divinely healed. I was experiencing a severe pain in my body. I anointed the area with some water, and, immediately, I felt a heat leaving my body. The pain disappeared. Since that time, I have never felt it again.

Message to Christians: Have a positive impact and put God in front of all you do. Allow God to be in front and not behind. When God is leading, you are sure of great successes. If you try to lead yourself, you will fail. Allow God to be the centre of your life and follow His footsteps. Never place God on the back burner.

Message to non-Christians: "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all other things shall be added unto you." It does not matter how much you think you have in this life and how safe you think you are. What you have cannot save you.

It does not matter how much you think you know. You need to know the word of Jesus Christ. Don't follow the things of the past. Acknowledge Jesus Christ as your personal saviour.
