How long have you been saved? I have been saved for 38 years.

How did you get your conviction?

I did not like the church system because, to me, it was like a bogus thing, and people were not talking the truth. However, one day somebody who was living close to me was going to have a cottage meeting, and I went there to see what was happening. When I went, a sister, who was the leader for the cottage meeting, came and started to move in the spirit. I started to admire her and said to myself that anytime I get saved I want to move in the spirit like her. I was at home alone one day, washing dishes when I heard a voice behind me telling me that if I did not get saved, something bad was going to happen to me. I did not allow Sunday to pass. I went straight to the altar and surrendered my life to God.

What has been your most challenging moment?

It was hard for me to believe what I did not see. It was challenging for me to walk by faith and not by sight. It took me years to come to that conclusion, that the Christian walk is one of faith and not one of sight.

What has been your most miraculous moment? About three years ago I was at the back of my house where there is a step. It appeared as if I fell five feet down on concrete and stones. I was unconscious, and was taken up by persons who placed me on a bed. I thought that I was just tired. I went back out, because I said to myself, how come I was in the house lying down, and I had so many things to do. Everybody started looking strange. I was told that I fell and was placed in the house.

Message to Christians: The word of God tells us that we should walk by faith and not by sight. Faith is a power that does God's work on earth. If we do not have faith, it is impossible to please God. There is nothing impossible that God cannot do for us.

Message to non-Christians:

Now is the acceptable time to serve Jesus. Do not watch the bling and what is taking place, and the pleasures of this life. God says He is gone to prepare a place for us so that where He is we shall be there also. If you fail to prepare to be there you will not be there. So you need to make sure that you are prepared.

Favourite Bible scripture: Philippians chapter 3.

Favourite song: 'Years I spent in vanity and pride, caring not my Lord was crucified'.
