Testimony : Taste and see that the Lord is good

It is now 17 years since Lavern Burrell has been walking with the Lord as a born-again Christian.

She currently worships at the Living Water Community Apostolic Church at Four Paths in Clarendon, where she also serves as a choir member.

"Before I started attending the church, I was facing a situation with my son in which he was very sick. I spent several thousands of dollars at the doctor, but he was unable to determine what was happening," shared Burrell.

But one day, a change, which Burrell was anticipating, finally came. Not from the work of any earthly doctor, but from the heavenly doctor, Jesus Christ, when she was introduced to the church she currently attends.

She testified that her son received total healing from the mighty hands of Jesus Christ and has been in great health ever since.

"My son has never gone back to the doctor for that sickness. Since attending my current church, I have had some tremendous breakthroughs in my life. I have seen where God has opened doors for me. He has helped me in so many ways. Thanks be to Him," testified Burrell.

FINANCIAL SITUATION

The young mother and church woman also pointed out that God has been good to her as an unemployed person as He has seen her through many financial situations and has provided for her and her family.

"Even though I am not working and finances are difficult to come by, there are times when God just provides financial assistance for me. Recently, I attended church and I had only $550 in my name. I paid $50 for my fare for part of the journey to come to church, and I walked the remainder because I decided that I was not going to break the $500," she said.

Burrell shared that she placed the money in the offering plate by faith, and by the time she returned home, the Lord provided money for her to send her two children to school, pay her electricity bill, purchase food, and to pay her bus fare to return to church.

She added that she was praying for God to provide for her, and her prayer was answered just in time.

"I asked the Lord to give me a mighty breakthrough, work a miracle in my life, and He did just that. For those who are out there and are experiencing what I have experienced, just come taste and see that the Lord is good. Blessed is he who trusts in the Lord. When you come to God, He will always open doors for you," Burrell said confidently.
