Man arrested in firearm, ammunition seizure

One firearm and several rounds of ammunition were seized by the Police on Olympic Way, Australia Road, Kingston 11 on Thursday.

Reports from the Olympic Gardens police are that about 5 p.m., lawmen were in the area, when a man, who aroused their suspicions, was accosted and searched. One Berretta pistol with three .25 rounds of ammunition was taken from his person.

He was subsequently arrested. His identity is however being withheld pending further investigations.
