Crawford resumes adult night school
East Rural St Andrew residents who wish to participate in the upcoming Adult Night School program will have the opportunity to do so, says Member of Parliament for East Rural St Andrew, Damion Crawford.
"The registration will take place Monday, (today) at 7 p.m. at the Donald Quarrie High School, Gordon Town Community Centre and Mavis Bank High School. The available subjects will be POB, Office Procedures and POA, all of which are again available at no cost to the constituents who wish to enrol," says Crawford.
In a statement released to the media earlier this week, Crawford noted that the previous students who participated in the Adult Night School had a 92 per cent pass rate in POB. By extension, students who attended the literacy classes achieved an 86 per cent mastery compared to the constituency average of 56 per cent and 51 students participating in the pre-university program passed at least one CAPE subject.
He also brought attention to 1000 East Rural St Andrew residents who were trained by HEART at the expense of the Constituency Development Fund, which also falls under the umbrella of the Member of Parliament's 3-2-1 Education Plan.
