Alleged lottery scammers bails extended

Four men alleged to be involved in lottery scamming had their bail extended when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last Thursday.

Robert Lee, a computer scientist from Longsville, Clarendon, is charged with knowingly possessing identity information. Roushane Langley, a labourer from a St Catherine address is facing the same charge.

Two men from St James addresses, Calvin Spencer and Ehaine Clarke, are the other persons on the same charge as the above-mentioned men.

Allegations are that on September 18, around 11:45 p.m., the police acted on information and went to Monterey Avenue, Kingston 20, and conducted a search.

Lead sheets, cellular phones, computers and other electronic devices were found at the premises.

The four men who were at the premises during the police search were taken into custody.

Following investigation, they were arrested and slapped with the charges.

The accused men will return to court on November 4.
