No arrests in murder of pregnant woman
The Hanover police say they are interviewing a number of persons in relation to the slaying of a pregnant woman in the parish on Wednesday. However, they are yet to make an arrest.
Dead is 29-year-old Kamala Hylton, otherwise called Kayon, of Long Lane in Hanover.
Reports are that the heavily pregnant woman was at home with her three children at about 8:30 p.m., when someone knocked on the door while saying, 'police'. Shortly after, the door was forced open and Hylton was dragged outside where she was shot dead.
According to the Head of the Hanover Police Division, Deputy Superintendent Artel Colly, no motive has been established for her killing.
"We haven't come to anything conclusive as yet. We have a theory, but we can't confirm it. We are doing some interviews with some persons, but we have not yet called any of suspects," he told THE WEEKEND STAR.
