Girl raped, buggered and left for dead
A 17-year-old girl is now battling for her life after she was raped, buggered, beaten, and left for dead in St James on the weekend.
Reports from the Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) of the Jamaica Constabulary Force are that the teenager was found in bushes around 8 in morning on Saturday in her community of Bogue Hill.
THE STAR understands that the girl left home around 6 p.m. on Friday to purchase a phone card at a nearby shop, but didn't return.
Found in bushes
It is reported that the girl's mother told the Freeport police later that night that her daughter was missing.
Weary of her absence, the relatives, along with members of the community, organised a search team early Saturday morning and begun to comb through the community in search of the teenager.
She was found in bushes with several wounds to head, stab wounds to her face and a fractured left arm.
She was taken to the hospital where it was confirmed that she was raped and buggered.
She is admitted in serious condition.
According to CCU, the matter is being treated as rape and attempted murder.
