Car hit woman walking through drive-thru
A St James woman recently found herself in trouble with the law after she reportedly used her motor vehicle to hit another woman at an ATM drive-through facility.
The accused woman, Tanita Davis, appeared before the St James Parish Court on a charge of assault occasioning bodily harm.
The allegations are that on February 12, the complainant was walking towards the Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS) drive-through at Fairview in Montego Bay when Davis reportedly said, "this is a drive-through, so you must not use the machine." She allegedly hit the complainant with her car.
The complainant later filed a report, and Davis was subsequently arrested and charged with the offence.
When the matter was mentioned before Judge Sandria Wong-Small, it was revealed that the complainant did not show for court. The case file was also incomplete.
Wong-Small subsequently extended Davis's bail until March 29, when the case will again be mentioned.
