Rasheede Bramwell and Bianca Findlay were so deeply in love that they were scarcely apart from each other.

Tragically, that level of commitment followed them right up to last Saturday, when they perished together in a car crash along the Spring Hill bypass in Duncans, Trelawny.

When WESTERN STAR visited their Barrett Town community in St James on Sunday, the grief expressed by their loved ones could almost be physically felt.

Carol Grant, Bramwell's aunt, described both her nephew and Findlay as cheerful and fun-loving persons.

"My nephew was a very jovial and quiet person; he won't pass by anybody and don't say hi or good morning. As for Bianca, I know her as a loving, caring, and jovial person, and she'd keep smiling, and she could sing a lot," said Grant.

Joan Green, Bramwell's mother, recalled the final words she shared with her son, who was popularly called 'Brandon' by community members.

FINAL WORDS

"The last time we talked, on Saturday, he called my phone and said, 'Mommy, you don't get the money yet? You know say mi nuh have no money?' And I said, 'All right, gwaan and come back'. That's the last word I had from him," Green said while making a valiant effort to control her grief.

"It was a young man who called and told me that Bianca was dead, and the police didn't want them to go near Brandon. A few minutes later, the ambulance came." Green added seconds before breaking down.

Meanwhile, Findlay's mother Beverly McIntosh, said that while the couple gave no indication of progressing their relationship towards marriage, there was no doubt of their affection for each other.

IN LOVE

"They were so in love, and I don't see any sign of them not loving each other. I don't know about anything progressing beyond that (towards marriage), but what I know is that they were very loving," said McIntosh.

Bramwell, 22, and 20-year-old Findlay were travelling together in a Honda motor car at approximately 11 a.m. on Saturday when the car got out of control and slammed into the back of a Toyota Coaster bus. Both died at the scene.

Prior to their deaths, Bramwell worked as a bartender at the RIU Hotel in Montego Bay, while Findlay was an entertainer at the Decameron Hotel, also in MoBay.
