10 years a call girl - But sex worker not ready to throw in the thongs

A decade ago, Nicky* held a front-desk job but was hardly earning enough to stay afloat. The young woman, in seeking ways to change her fortunes, did the unthinkable. She became a call girl.

"It was the easy money. It may sound a way but I was doing a 9-5 job that wasn't paying much at the end of the week, so I decided to try it. I saw advertisements in the paper about massage work and I knew what was behind it and I just started," the 33-year-old said.

In addition to affording her the ability to pay her bills, Nicky said that she often acts as the glue that binds many relationships together.

"Sometimes it is not about the intercourse. I sometimes serve as a counsellor because a lot of time they need someone to just talk to and I will give my advice without getting really deep in the matter," Nicky told THE WEEKEND STAR.

She said that she does not feel guilty about possibly affecting someone's relationship, as many of her clients say that their main partners do not satisfy their sexual needs.

"Some of my clients do not see it as a betrayal or cheating since it is just sex they are having and not [going with] a side girl. A lot of them will tell me that what I am offering, their wifey is not giving them, so them just come out a road for it. They even learn a few new styles and take it back to their bedroom, so I am helping them to keep a happy home," she said.

As Valentine's Day approaches, Nicky eagerly anticipates providing the best service to her clients, many of whom have already placed special orders.

"There are men who have been calling to request that I wear something special for them," said Nicky, whose services can cost as much as $15,000, depending on the request and the calibre of client. "Usually, some of them will come before or on the day itself. I also get requests from couples, but not necessarily on Valentine's Day."

But having spent 10 years providing sexual favours to an incalculable number of persons, and having to keep her profession from her family, one may have thought Nicky would be preparing to throw in her thongs soon. However, this is not the case. She reasoned that "the cost of living is constantly going up now, so I will go as long as I can".

What she vows to do, however, is to keep avoiding persons who have weird requests or want to engage in acts that could increase the chance of her getting a sexually transmitted infection.

"Some of them are really nasty. I will do 'golden showers' but I will not defecate on anyone. I have my limits," said Nicky, adding that she does not engage in unprotected sex.

"That is one of the main reasons that I don't do group sex. I may do two or three other persons, but it is not something that I really do because the condoms will have to change, and they will not want to stop to do that. They will protect themselves, but I have to [protect myself] as well," she said.

"For safety reasons, I do not do home calls unless I know the client really well. I also don't go to certain areas. Sometimes I will do hotel hook-ups, but for the most part, the clients will come to me."

Although she is enjoying the perks of being a sex worker, Nicky said that there are dangers to the job and she does not encourage anyone to walk in her footsteps.

"Do not try this line of work because there is also a negative side. You really don't know the clients you are going to meet or who is coming to visit you, and what their intentions are," the call girl said.
