Firearm found in garbage bin on Molynes Road

The Half Way Tree police are currently investigating how an illegal firearm, and several rounds of ammunition ended up in a garbage bin on Molynes Road in St Andrew.

The discovery was made by a team of lawmen during an intelligence-led operation in the area on Monday. 

It is reported that they were led to a premises in the area, and during a search, a Smith and Wesson .44 revolver loaded with three .44 cartridges was found in the bin.

The weapon was seized; however, no arrests were made.
