Kingston male arrested for restaurant robbery

A 27-year-old Kingston man has been charged with robbery with aggravation and possession of prohibited weapon in relation to an incident at a business establishment in the Kingston 8 area on March 17.

Charged is Javon Brown of Oxford Street, Kingston 14. Reports from the Constant Spring police are that about 2:30 p.m., Brown and four other men allegedly entered a restaurant posing as customers. One of the men pulled a firearm and demanded that the employees open a safe. They complied and the men robbed them. A report was made to the police and after an investigation, Brown was taken into custody. He was charged following a review of surveillance footage and an interview in the presence of his attorney. His court date is being finalised.
